Product: LABEL MATRIX, LABELVIEW, CODESOFT

Version: All Versions using a USB Hard key license

USB Hard key is no longer being detected by the software. If you are using Windows 10 with the 2004 update, please visit this link here.

If using the MKX hard key, make sure the software installation file is the most current one available. The most up to date installation files can be found here. The current installation file will need to be uninstalled for the latest installation file to be installed.

If using the MKH hard key please follow the steps below.

1. If you have not already done so, download the latest HASP drivers. The file will download directly from this link.

2. Remove the parallel or USB HASP key from your PC and close the software to ensure all services using the driver have been stopped.

Although the driver update program can terminate applications accessing the driver, it cannot terminate services running on the PC. For example, if the License Manager is running as a service, you must stop the service before upgrading the driver.

3. Disable any antivirus software you have running on your PC. You can either consult the directions for your antivirus software or contact your IT department for assistance.

4. Access the Downloads folder within File Explorer. Right click the file, Extract all and save to a chosen destination. In this example we will use the "Temp" folder on the C: drive.

5. Save to a "Temp" folder on your C: drive.

6. Pull up the "Run" prompt by pressing Windows + R .

7. Type in CMD and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to run the Command Prompt as an Admin.

8. Once the Command Prompt is open type exactly what is shown in the screen below. (Substitute the correct file path if you saved the HASP to a different location)

cd C:\Temp\Sentinel_LDK_Run-time_cmd_line\Sentinel_LDK_Run-time_cmd_line

haspdinst -i -kp -ld

9. Press Enter.

10. Close the Command Prompt

11. Re-enable your antivirus software.

12. Reattach the HASP key to your PC. Try launching the software or opening the License Manager to verify the USB hard key is being recognized.
