If your USB hard key is not being detected, follow the steps below based on your hardware type.

If you are using Windows 10 (version 2004), review this article first: Click here for Windows 10 guidance.

If you are using an MKX hard key, ensure you are running the latest installation version: Download latest installation files.

If you are using an MKH hard key, follow the steps below.


MKH USB Hard Key Troubleshooting

1. Download the latest HASP drivers:
Download HASP Drivers
2. Remove the USB/parallel HASP key and close all TEKLYNX software.
Ensure any related services (such as License Manager) are stopped.
3. Temporarily disable antivirus software.
(Consult your IT team if needed.)
4. Open your Downloads folder, right-click the file, and select Extract All.

5. Extract the files to a folder such as:
C:\Temp

6. Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
7. Type CMD, then press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to run as Administrator.

8. In Command Prompt, run the following commands:
cd C:\Temp\HASPUserSetup\Sentinel_LDK_Run-time_cmd_line
haspdinst -i -kp -ld
9. Press Enter to execute the command.
10. Close Command Prompt.
11. Re-enable your antivirus software.
12. Reconnect the HASP key and launch the software to verify detection.
