This activation process article is for activation of both the Single user license and the Network multi-user license for current TEKLYNX products. The top portion of the article is for activating Single User license. Scroll to the bottom of the article for help activating a Network license.

NOTE: If you currently have a test/temporary license activated on your system, you will first need to deactivate that before you can activate another license.

 

SINGLE USER LICENSE ACTIVATION   

NOTE: Scroll down below if you need to activate a network user license

1. Navigate to Start > All Apps > TEKLYNX [PRODUCT] to open the License Manager, or Search for the License Manager from the taskbar.
 
2. Click Activate.

3. Enter your Serial Number and Password. Click Next.

4. Fill out all of the information boxes pertaining to your company as accurately as possible. This is the information we will use to recover your serial number if it is lost. Click Next.

5. Click Finish

NETWORK LICENSE ACTIVATION   

Ensure the Network License Manager is installed on the license server before proceeding. 

1. Navigate to Start > All Apps to open the Network Toolbar, or search for the Network Toolbar from the taskbar.

2. Click License Upgrade to Activate

3. Enter your Serial Number and Password. Click Next.

4. Fill out all of the information boxes pertaining to your company as accurately as possible. This is the information we will use to recover your serial number if it is lost. Click Next and then Finish.

5. From the Network Toolbar, click on the License Service Controller

Version 2019 & older:

6. Click the Start button to start the license service. If you receive an error, please stop and restart the service.

NETWORK CLIENT SETUP   

NOTE: You will NOT need to install the Network License Manager on the client workstations.

1. Launch Network Administration by navigating to Start > All Programs > Your TEKLYNX Program > Network Administration. Alternatively, search the taskbar for Network Administration

NOTE: For software versions 2012 and earlier, Network Administration can be accessed from within the trial software by going to Tools > Setup > Network (LABEL MATRIX) or Tools > Network Administration (LABELVIEW and CODESOFT).

 

 

2. Check the box next to Use Network License.

3. In Server Location, input the name of your server in \\servername format. 

4. Click OK, and launch the software.
