Moving from a single user license to a network license: This will require you to Deactivate the single user license. (More information on deactivating can be found here) Then you will need to proceed with setting up and activating the license as a network license. (More information on Setting Up a Network can be found here

1. Launch the software. Go to to the Help option and the select About.

2. Look for the License Manager button and click on it.

3. The License Manager window will open click on Upgrade Software.

4. Enter in the SUP license information and passwordThe first line will have the SUP will be entered by default all that needs to be entered are the numbers to the right of the SUP. Then enter the password. Click Next

5. Ensure all the company registration information is correct, update if needed and click Next.

6. There should be a message stating that the license has been successfully Upgraded. Click Finish. The license has now been upgraded. You will need to close and reopen the software for the changes to take effect.

Network License

1.Launch the Network Toolbar. To do this go to Start > All Programs and in the listing of programs navigate to T for TEKLYNX. Then look for the TEKLYNX Network License Manager folder. In that folder should be the Network Toolbar. (For this example we are using the 2019 version)

2. Once the Network Toolbar has been opened look for the License Upgrade button. (If the software is anything earlier than 2019 the Network Toolbar may launch by default into the upper right hand corner of the screen, almost unnoticeable)

3. In License Upgrade there will be a list of options to choose from. Select the Upgrade software license.

4. This will then prompt a screen to enter the SUP number and password. The first line will have the SUP will be entered by default all that needs to be entered are the numbers to the left of the SUP. Then enter the password.

5. Click Next and ensure that the registration information is current and update if needed. Then click Next again.

6. There should be a message stating that the license has been successfully Upgraded. Click Finish. The license has now been upgraded.

 

7. Lastly make sure to verify that the license service controller is running so that the license can be accessed by the client workstations. In the Network Toolbar find and click the License Service Controller button.

 

8. If the service is stopped, click on the triangle or "play" button to start the service. Once started this window and the Network Toolbar can be closed. The software can now be launched again. If you experience an issue please contact the Customer Support Team for assistance at 414-837-4800.
