You may open labels that are created in LABELVIEW within CODESOFT. The software will prompt you to perform a quick conversion to change the file type from .LBL to .LAB. Once this partially automated process is complete and you select Convert, your newly converted label will open in CODESOFT.
Important: TEKLYNX software is not currently backwards compatible. Always back up any LABELVIEW labels before converting them to CODESOFT. Once a label is opened in a newer version of LABELVIEW, it can no longer be opened in earlier versions.
If you are converting labels from LABELVIEW 8.6 or earlier and encounter issues, refer to the article linked above for detailed instructions on converting older label formats.
For labels created in LABELVIEW 9 or later, the same conversion principles and troubleshooting steps generally apply if conversion issues occur.
Note: Labels created in LABELVIEW version 5 or earlier cannot be converted.
