If you have a USB hard key license with an active Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA), you are entitled to no-cost version upgrades and prorated edition upgrades at any time. To verify whether your license is eligible for upgrade, or for questions about the upgrade process, please call the Customer Support team at +1 414-837-4800, Monday through Friday from 8am - 6pm US CST. Please have your serial number available at the time of the call. 

 

UPGRADING WITH AN R2C FILE 

Once your software upgrade has been processed by our Production team, you will receive an email containing an R2C file. The steps below will walk you through using that file to update your USB hard key license. If you've been asked to provide a C2R file, please scroll down to Generating a C2R File. 

1. If applicable, uninstall the previous version of the TEKLYNX software and install the new version. The upgrade confirmation email from the TEKLYNX Production team will contain a link to the new installation files.

2. Download the R2C file from the TEKLYNX Production email. 

3. Plug in your USB key and launch upgrade.exe from the following location:

CODESOFT: C:\Program Files (x86)\Teklynx\CODESOFT 20XX 
LABELVIEW: C:\Program Files (x86)\Teklynx\LABELVIEW 20XX 
LABEL MATRIX: C:\Program Files (x86)\LABEL MATRIX 20XX

4. Select Reseller to Client. Click Next. 

5. Click the button with the three dots to browse to the location of the R2C file you downloaded. Click Next.

6. Click Close when you receive confirmation that the process has been successfully completed. 

 

GENERATING A C2R FILE 

1. Plug in your USB key and launch upgrade.exe from the following location:

CODESOFT: C:\Program Files (x86)\Teklynx\CODESOFT 20XX 
LABELVIEW: C:\Program Files (x86)\Teklynx\LABELVIEW 20XX 
LABEL MATRIX: C:\Program Files (x86)\LABEL MATRIX 20XX

2. Select Client to Reseller. Click Next. 

3. Click the button with the three dots to browse to the location you'd like to save the C2R file to. We recommend choosing your Desktop. Click Next.

4. Click Close once you've received the confirmation message. Attach the C2R file to an email and send it to Teklynx_Production@Teklynx.com.
