USB Hard Key Upgrade Eligibility

If you have a USB hard key license with an active Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA), you are eligible for:

• No-cost version upgrades
• Prorated edition upgrades

To verify upgrade eligibility or ask questions about the upgrade process, contact Customer Support at +1 414-837-4800, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM CST. Have your serial number available when calling.

Upgrading a USB Hard Key Using an R2C File

After your software upgrade request has been processed, TEKLYNX Production will send you an email containing an R2C file. Follow the steps below to apply the upgrade to your USB hard key.

1. If applicable, uninstall the previous software version and install the upgraded version. The Production email will contain a link to the installation files.
2. Download the R2C file attached to the TEKLYNX Production email.
3. Connect your USB hard key and launch upgrade.exe.

4. Select Reseller to Client and click Next.

5. Click the three-dot browse button, select the downloaded R2C file, and click Next.

 

6. When the upgrade completes successfully, click Close.

Generating a C2R File

If TEKLYNX Production requests a C2R file, follow the steps below to generate it from your USB hard key.

1. Connect your USB hard key and launch upgrade.exe.

2. Select Client to Reseller and click Next.

3. Click the three-dot browse button, choose where to save the C2R file (Desktop recommended), and click Next.

4. After the file is generated, click Close.
5. Attach the generated C2R file to an email and send it to Teklynx_Production@Teklynx.com.
