1. First make sure you can see your Data Sources on the right side of your label by going to View > Data Sources
2. Next you need to Add a counter. Right click on counter and select Add.
3. After you select Add you will need to set the name of your counter, type, current value, increment, minimum value, and maximum value. Then Click Ok.
Disclaimer: Prior to Version 2021 there is no ability to set values based on another data source variable.4. Now you can drag on drop your counter onto your label.
5. Select Text to place it onto your label as the starting value
