A Hardware Fingerprint Error occurs when there is a break in licensing and can be caused by multiple reasons. It has recently been found that an in-version upgrade to Windows 10 may cause this, a roll-back of the machine to an earlier state, and also using a cloned image of a PC with the software activated.
The following step can be done in order to try and resolve the Hardware Fingerprint Error without having to call into Customer Support. Administrator access, Serial Number and activation password will be needed. If this does not resolve the error or there are still issues getting the license to launch please call into Customer Support at (414) 837-4800.
1. Locate the License Manager. This can be done one of two ways. Locate the License Manager from the Start Menu, selecting the TEKLNX Software folder (TEKLYNX CODESOFT 2022), expanding and finding the License Manager. Right click on the License Manager, choose More and then select Run as Administrator.

Using Search on the desktop. Type in License Manager. Right click on License Manager and choose to Run as Administrator.

2. Click Deactivate, continue until there is a message saying that the license has been successfully deactivated.
3. Using the process in Step 1, go back into License Manager.
4. Choose Activate.
5. Enter the Serial Number and Password for the license.
6. There will be a page to enter company registration information, fill this out or verify and click Next. The license should now be successfully activated again. Click Finish.
7. Try and launch the software and make sure it will open. If there is still an error please contact Customer Support at 414-837-4800.
