Product: LABELVIEW, CODESOFT

Version: All Versions

.NET Framework is created by Microsoft which is a collection of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that developers can call upon when developing applications. Most applications will ask for a particular version of the framework to be installed, with TEKLYNX labeling software falling in this category.

If your software is crashing when attempting to modify variables on your labels or if you add a text field on your label and it is not displaying anything, then you may not have all of the features and sub-features enabled.

Create a new label, click on the Text Generation to the left, and click anywhere on your label. If you do not see the text on the label, follow the steps below.

NOTE: You will need administrative credentials to proceed from here.

1. Run an administrative repair on the software. Launch the Control Panel and Locate your LABELVIEW/CODESOFT software, right click on the software and click Repair or select Repair at the top.

2. After repairing the software, relaunch the software and create a Text Generation like before.

If your software is still continuing to have the same issue as before, we suggest running through the same Repair process and checking your .NET Framework.

1. After running a Repair, open up the Control Panel, select Programs, and then select 'Turn Windows features on or off'.

2. Expand .NET Framework 3.5 and .NET Framework 4.7 to make sure that these features and sub-features have been enabled. The computer may prompt for a restart after the changes have been applied. It might also show a later version such as .NET Framework 4.8 Advanced Services.

3. The last thing recommended to trouble shoot this is running a Command Prompt, as Administrator, and entering "sfc /scannow".
