An internal TEKLYNX driver is needed in order to perform this task. For steps on how to add an internal driver click here.

1. Create a Date variable. If the Data Source pane is open go to Date, right click and select Add. If the Data Source pane is not open go to Data Sources, select Date and choose Add.

2. From the Date Type drop down make sure that Printer Date is selected or Printer date, if possible.

3. Choose the Date format you would like to use. (For this example we are using hh:mm for hour and minutes) Click OK.

4. The variable can now be placed on the label. If the Data Source pane is open, highlight the name of the variable, right click and then choose Place. If the Data Source pane is not open go to Data Source, select Date, choose the name of the variable, select Place.

5. This variable needs to be set to Printer resident font. To do so either double click on the field or highlight the field, right click and select Properties.

6. Find the Character tab. Scroll to the top of the Font choices and select from the Printer category. Click OK.
