Product: LABELVIEW, CODESOFT

Version: All Versions

LABELVIEW and CODESOFT do not natively support displaying PDF files as images within a label. This limitation exists because Windows operating systems do not recognize PDF files as image formats.

To use a PDF file as an image in LABELVIEW or CODESOFT, you must install the 32-bit version of Ghostscript. Ghostscript enables the software to interpret PDF files as image objects.

Download Ghostscript from: https://www.ghostscript.com/releases/index.html

How to Add a PDF File to a Label

Step 1: Download and install the 32-bit version of Ghostscript from the link above.
Step 2: Open the LABELVIEW or CODESOFT label where you want to add the PDF.

Step 3: Add the PDF as an image object.
  • Insert an image into the label.
  • When browsing for the file, change the file type filter from All Image Files to Portable Document Format (*.PDF).
  • Select the desired PDF file.

For additional information about inserting images into labels, see: Adding an Image in LABELVIEW/CODESOFT .
