1. Create a new Advanced data source. If the Data Source pane is open select Advanced, right click and choose Add. If the Data Source pane is not open go to Data Source at the top of the page, highlight Advanced and choose Add.

                      

2. Give the Advanced data source a name. Enter a value of 1, or whatever the counter will be starting at. Change the drop down, underneath the value text field, from Local to Shared.

3. On the Counter tab, make sure the Counter checkbox is checked. Set the Min Value and Max Value. Check the Reset after data source value change checkbox. From the drop down change it to the record that will tell the counter when to reset. Click OK.

4. The counter can now be placed on the label. If the Data Source pane is open, select the name of the Advanced counter, right click and choose Place. If the Data Source is not open, click on Data Source at the top of the page, select Advanced, select the name of the Advanced counter and choose Place.
