Prerequisites:
- The key must be plugged into a USB port on the local machine.
- For Single User keys, RDP (Windows Remote Desktop Application) cannot be running in any fashion on the machine the key is plugged into.
- Please allow the drivers to be installed to completion through Windows before attempting to use the software. This may take a few minutes to complete.
If the key is plugged in, but a prompt to activate appears when you try to launch the software:
1. Check Device Manager in Windows by going to Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound. Select Devices and Printers.
2. If the key is plugged in, it may take a few minutes for Windows to update the device information. You should see HID Dongle in the Unspecified Category in Windows Devices and Printers.
3. An additional place to verify the key is being recognized from Windows is by going to Start and typing dxdiag. Alternatively, click Start, search for and open the Run application, type dxdiag into text field, and click OK. Either of these methods will launch the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. Once open, click the Input tab, and confirm the HID Dongle is listed under Device Name.
