This article explains how to configure label stock, page setup, label dimensions, margins, and page layout using the Label/Page Setup window in LABELVIEW and CODESOFT.

Open Label/Page Setup

1. Click Label/Page Setup on the top ribbon, or right-click on a blank area of the label and select Label/Page Setup.

Configure Stock Settings

2. Open the Stock tab. Select a predefined stock setup or create a custom stock by entering a Type and Name.

If a Type and Name are provided, the stock configuration can be saved and reused later. If left blank, the settings can still be used but will not be saved for future selection.

Configure Label Settings

3. Open the Label tab. Depending on the printer driver being used, a Media dropdown may be available. Select the media description that best matches the label stock being used.

NOTE: The Media dropdown is printer-driver dependent and may not be available for all printers.

4. Use the Label Size section to define the label Width and Height.

5. Adjust Corner Roundness if rounded label corners are required.

Increasing the corner roundness value gradually changes square corners into rounded corners. High values can create a circular label shape.

6. Configure the Number of Labels section if the stock contains multiple labels per page.

Configure Page Settings

7. Open the Page tab to configure page dimensions and orientation.

The page can be set to Automatic Sizing, which matches the page dimensions to the label dimensions. Alternatively, page dimensions can be entered manually if they differ from the label size.

You can also select either Portrait or Landscape orientation.

Configure Margins

8. Open the Margins tab.

Margins can be configured using Printer Default, which uses values supplied by the printer driver, or entered manually.

In many label-printing environments, margins are typically set to zero.

Save the Label Setup

9. After all settings have been configured, click OK in the Label/Page Setup window.

If no Type or Name was entered on the Stock tab, a confirmation message will appear.

Select Yes to continue using the setup without saving it. If a Type and Name were specified, the configuration will be saved and available for future use.
