If you are in need of help to find out this information, we highly recommend contacting the weight scale manufacturer for these settings. Please ensure that "Repeat Prompt" is selected.

5. Finally, once setup properly, you will be able to start your Print job. If everything has been setup following this guide you will see the PortWatch prompt repeatedly pop-up to the forefront of the program while obtaining data from the weight scale. Please see the example below of the PortWatch module is receiving data.

NOTE : For the above image, we have used a KEYWEDGE device to simulate your weight scale pushing information to the PortWatch module. If your device is sending information, it will appear as it does in the example.

CODESOFT 2019 AND EARLIER

If you are looking to automate a portion of your PortWatch module within the CODESOFT product, there will need to be a few settings needed to be setup prior to printing in order for this to function properly.

1. First we will need to download the "PortWatch VB Script.txt"  from this article.
2. We will then need to implement this VB Script within the Label Properties. Please see the example given below.

3. Once you have navigated to the Label Properties, we will need to select the VB Script tab.
4. Activate the "Event Call" checkbox.
5. Select "OnSubBeforeShowDialog" for the Event Call.
6. Copy/Paste the VB Script into this location. Please see the example given below.

7. It is always prudent to test the VB Script you are wishing to employ.

8. Once you have inserted the VB Script into your label template/document you wish you use it with, it is time to set up your PortWatch Device settings.

NOTE : Please note that TEKLYNX cannot give you the information regarding your weight scale settings such as Start/End Positions, Terminator Options, Polling (enabled/disabled), or the Port Settings regarding the "Advanced" section. If you are in need of help to find out this information, we highly recommend contacting the weight scale manufacturer for these settings. Please ensure that "Repeat Prompt" is selected.

You have now successfully setup continuous polling using the PortWatch module and VB Scripting.
