This article may help if the printer prints 2 labels each time data is sent once to COMet or if the printer continually prints copies of labels after the data is sent once through COMet.
The device can be configured to send an ending character. In the following example the ending character will be %.

 

1. Open COMet. (This screen shot is from the 2019 version but should be similar in anything CODESOFT 10 and above)

2. Double click on the device changes are being made to.

3. Click on the Settings button.

4. Click on the Wait icon.

5. Select the radial button for When receiving a message sent by the device

6. Select the Poll icon.

7. Enable Proceed with this step.

8. Configure the Positive answers section to read *%.

9. Within the Negative answers field, change the Timeout (ms) value to 5000.

10. Select the Extract icon.

11. Check the radial button for Of variable length.

12. Configure End mark to read %

13. Click OK.

14. Click OK on this screen as well.

15. Click on the Change Options button or press F11.

16. Click on the Other tab and enable Use left over bytes. Then click OK.

17. Click Yes when asked Do you want to save the current environment.

18. Name and Save the CMT file. (Below is the default location for the CMT files)

19. Click on the Start transferring button or press F6.

20. Choose the process for the Transfer mode and click OK. COMet will now run and should function properly.
