If one or more blank labels print between correctly printed labels, or if the printed image gradually shifts higher or lower on each successive label, the printer's media sensor may need to be recalibrated.
Troubleshoot Blank Labels or Label Position Drift
Observe how the printer advances the media after pressing the Feed button.
If multiple labels feed, or if the label stops in the wrong position, the printer is likely not properly detecting the label gap or mark.
If the printer does not feed correctly, contact the printer manufacturer for instructions on recalibrating the media sensor. If recalibration does not resolve the issue, restoring the printer to its factory default settings may also help.
NOTE: A properly calibrated printer should feed only one label to the tear bar each time the Feed button is pressed.
Additional Information: Printer sensors can become dirty over time, causing the printer to miss label gaps. In addition, changing media types or printer configurations over time may alter the printer's internal calibration settings. Cleaning the sensor and recalibrating the printer can often resolve these issues.
