1. Open the spreadsheet needing the adjustment.
2. Locate and select the troubled column where the data is not pulling correctly.
3. With the column now selected, click the Data tab in the top menu of Excel and locate the Text to Columns button.
4. A wizard will appear for formatting the selected column. On the first screen, leave the default value of delimited checked and click next.
5. The next screen shows options for delimiters, the default is set to TAB, Uncheck the tab check-box and click Next.
6. The final screen shows options for the type of data contained in the column as a whole. Change the option to Text and click finish.
