This problem has occurred with Symantec End-Point Protection (SEP) version 12 primarily. This may also occur with other Anti-virus programs. 

If you're experiencing this issue with another Anti-Virus software, we suggest whitelisting the install file. Here is a link to the list of the proper folders to whitelist after the software has been installed in this article here.  

If when installing any TEKLYNX label design software on a Windows-based computer with Symantec Endpoint Protection build 12.1.6 the error 1722 appears it is recommended to do one of the following:

1. Roll back the Symantec Endpoint Protection to 12.1.5. Doing so will allow for the installation of any TEKLYNX label design package on the Windows machine.

 

2. Uninstall the Application and Device Control Component. To uninstall the Application and Device Control component go to Start->Control Panel->Programs and Features ->Symantec Endpoint Protection->Change->Modify.

 

Note: A reboot is necessary after making this change
