LABEL MATRIX PowerPro can import label files created by a variety of supported printer languages and third-party label design software. During the import process, the selected file is converted into the native LABEL MATRIX .QDF file format.

Note: Some printer file formats do not contain complete label design information. If prompted during the import process, enter the requested information (such as label size) before the conversion can be completed.

Import a Label from Another Format

1. Click File > Import Other Format.

2. From the Files of type drop-down list, select the format of the label file you want to import.

3. In the Look in field, browse to the folder containing the label file you want to import.

4. Select the label file and click Open.

Note: During the conversion process, some printer formats may prompt you for additional information, such as the label size or media dimensions. This occurs because certain printer formats do not store all label design settings. Enter the requested information to continue.

5. LABEL MATRIX imports the file and converts it to the native .QDF file format.
6. Click File > Save As and save the converted label as a .QDF file.
