When adding a text or bar code image with a Keyboard Input data origin, you must specify a prompt message to appear at print time to prompt the user to enter data. The Ask When setting allows you to specify when (or how often) this prompt will appear. To use the Ask When setting...
1. Add a text or bar code image.
2. Select the Keyboard Input data origin. The Keyboard Properties appear.
3. Enter the desired prompt message to appear at print time, sample data, and a default value. Click the Advanced button to access the Advanced Keyboard Properties.
4. For the Ask When setting, select one of the following options:
- Labels: The prompt message will appear for each label group of duplicate labels you print.
- Duplicates: The prompt message will appear for each label and will appear for each duplicate label.
- Once: The prompt message will appear only once, at the beginning of the print job.
5. Click OK to close the Advanced Keyboard Properties, and then click OK again to return to the label design screen
