Introduced in 1982, Code93 is a higher-density version of the Code 39 symbology. Code 93 is a continuous, variable-length, alphanumeric symbology that uses forty-three of the characters from Code39, but also uses four control characters used for the full ASCII version. Code93 accepts the following characters:
- Numbers 0-9.
- Uppercase Letters A-Z.
- Space character
- Symbols - . $ / + %
NOTE: This is one of the most commonly used barcode symbologies in non-retail applications.
