This type of error is typically hardware related as the software installation is part of the operating system and “Blue Screen” errors are triggered below the operating system.  The software is not able to directly cause critical system errors of this type.  More commonly the error is caused by a driver or hardware device that is utilized by the application.  It is recommended to check the status of these devices.  A common failure point is within the video driver or video card itself.
