Update a Database Connection Path
If a database file is moved to a different location, such as from a local computer to a shared network folder, the database connection path in LABELVIEW or CODESOFT must be updated.
The steps below explain how to modify the OLE DB connection so the software can locate the database in its new location.
NOTE: The procedure is the same in both LABELVIEW and CODESOFT.
Edit the OLE DB Connection
1. Open Tools → Administrator OLE DB.
2. Select the database connection you want to modify (for example, conn1) and click Edit.
3. In the Data Source field, enter or browse to the new location of the database file.
4. Test the connection to verify the database path is correct and that the software can successfully access the file.
Expected Result
After the connection is successfully tested, LABELVIEW or CODESOFT will use the database from the new location.
