This article explains how to activate a TEKLYNX software license using the USB Key activation method. This method is intended for computers that do not have an internet connection.
Before you begin: You will need a USB flash drive and access to a second computer with an active internet connection.
Create the USB Activation Files
1. Open the Windows Start menu and navigate to All Programs > TEKLYNX CODESOFT (or your installed TEKLYNX product). You can also search for the software or License Manager from the Windows taskbar.
2. Open your TEKLYNX software or launch the License Manager.
3. When the Activation Wizard appears, select Activate.
4. Click Activate.
5. Enter your Serial Number and Password, then click Next.
6. Select Using a USB Key as the activation method, then click Next.
7. Insert your USB flash drive, select the correct USB Device from the list, then click Next.
NOTE: You may also choose a mapped network drive instead of a USB flash drive.
8. When you receive the confirmation that the activation files have been copied to the USB drive, click Next, then click Finish.
Complete the Activation on an Internet-Connected Computer
9. Take the USB flash drive to a computer that has an internet connection and connect it.
10. Open File Explorer > This PC, open the USB drive, then double-click USBWizard.
11. The TEKLYNX License Manager opens. Select the product you want to activate and click Next.
12. Complete all company information fields as accurately as possible. This information can be used to recover your serial number if it is ever lost. Click Finish.
Complete the Activation on the Original Computer
13. Safely remove the USB flash drive and reconnect it to the original computer where the software is installed.
14. Open File Explorer > This PC, open the USB drive again, and double-click USBWizard.
15. The USB Wizard detects the activation response and completes the activation. A confirmation message appears indicating that your TEKLYNX license has been successfully activated.
